— 01 / The region

A tea-growing region unlike any other in Japan.

In southern Ibaraki, the quiet fields of Sashima nurture tea with uncommon aromatic depth. Fertile river soil and crisp winters shape leaves with a richness found nowhere else in Japan.

— 03 / The return

This is not a discovery. It is a return.

Our founder grew up in Ibaraki. CHATANI was founded with a single vision: to share the remarkable teas of Sashima with the world.

More than 160 years after Sashima tea first crossed the Pacific, we are continuing that story. Today, we bring the teas of Sashima to Europe.
